Well, President Barack Obama made history, again, last week with his first European trip.  Let me tell you, it was a sight to behold, and I should know, I was there for the whole thing.  Yes, your most trusted member of the media scored a press pass and was fortunate enough to make trip.  Quite an accomplishment actually, considering that he only brought 500 people with him, I took my son to his first t-ball practice on Thursday, and I'm not a member of the media.  It just goes to show that with Barack Obama as President, anything is possible.

Hold on for a second though…let me catch my breath.  I am still coming down from the high.  Okay.   That's better.

President Obama certainly lived up to the lofty expectations that we place on the head of the most prosperous, freest country in the history of the planet.  Interestingly enough, though, instead of spreading the good word about America to the rest of the world, he brilliantly chose to ignore our accomplishments and give support to the false perception that we are, in fact, the cause of all the world’s problems.  How refreshing!  I mean the Left has felt this way privately for years, but never before have we had a leader with the political will to go overseas and say it, repeatedly.  This is the type of honesty that has been missing in politics and I, for one, applaud it.

Hey that’s why we elected him, right.  No one apologizes for America’s atrocities like Barack Obama.  No one.  Here are a few highlights in case you didn’t hear: he bowed down to the King of Saudi Arabia (it was about time an American President had the courage to symbolically subjugate himself to such a mildly despotic King), he called Americans ignorant and arrogant because we fail to appreciate the leadership Europe gives the world (this was noteworthy…I mean honestly, just think of the many times in the past century alone that Europe has bailed our sorry behinds out…especially France), he spoke glowingly about the 2002 Saudi Peace Initiative which will effectively end Israel as a Jewish state (let’s face it, the Jewish people have had a state long enough and their loyal allegiance to our country and its values has become annoying; they’re like that unpopular kid that you're nice to once but then he won’t leave you alone so you try and make friends with his vicious enemies so that you'll be more popular and they won't think twice about killing him), and finally, he spoke out about the danger that America poses to evil dictators and pledged to not only to leave them alone but to reduce our ability to defend ourselves by stopping the production of  weapons that enable us to remain independent, free and ignorant (amen).

Do you see what I mean about this trip being exciting?  Goodness, gracious, glory be.  Never before has a United States President done more to debunk the notion of American exceptionalism than Barack Obama did with this one trip.  Let me put it another way, President Obama did more to disparage America in one week than Jimmy Carter did in 4 years, and that is saying a lot.  No wonder the media proclaimed the trip a success.

And to think that many Americans were worried about his total lack of foreign policy experience.  Talk about egg of your face.  He seemed right at home sitting down with the other Socialists/World Leaders.  He fit right in.  Perhaps most impressive was his ability to ask them for nothing while promising them everything.  He promised that we would be less arrogant, less ignorant, more understanding, less critical of their human rights violations, less grumpy when they violate treaties, less willful in defending ourselves, more supportive of the UN and less stubborn when it comes to securing our own self-interests.  It was so progressive.  And to show just how polite his new administration will be, he asked for nothing in return, not even for some much needed help with his new Afghanistan policy.  Wait.  I stand corrected, he did ask for some help in Afghanistan; his new friends just said no.  It was okay though, he apologized for asking and while they didn't forgive him outright, they said they would think about it.  So, everything is cool with that...I think.

Anyway, it was quite a week.  Barack certainly sent a message to the rest of the world:  he is no George W. Bush and under his guidance, America will do its best to stop being so American all the time.  I mean the freedom, the health care, the prosperity, the military, the Constitution...enough already.   It's enough to make you sick.  America should suffer like everyone else, and we will.  We just have to be patient and give his radical agenda some time to work.  In the meantime, we can all help his re-election efforts by purchasing the MTV Rockumentary made about the trip that will be released soon.  The first 1000 copies purchased will include a special complimentary IPOD with all of his speeches pre-programmed just like the one he gave the Queen of England.

Well, that's it for now.  My arm is still a little sore from the Obama 4-Eva tattoo that me and some other members of the press corps got in France, so I am going to make like an Obama voter and take the day off.  See Ya.
