But first, here is a trivia question for you: who are the 3 largest employers on the planet? Give up? Good. The answers: 1. China’s Red Army. 2. The Indian National Railway. 3. England’s N.H.S. (National Health Service). Surprised? Me too. You might be even more surprised to know that most people in England would rather get treated for their health problems by China’s Red Army or India’s National Railway than their own 1.4 million strong National Health Service.
The UK has approximately 60 million citizens. Shockingly, it needs 1.4 million of these citizens or almost 2% of the total number of citizens to run and manage it’s failed health care system. The United States of America has 304 million citizens. I f we were to follow England's health care model right down to the massive waste, corruption and inefficiency inherent in all Government run programs, we will need over 6 million Americans working for Obama Care. Now, the sheer size of the bureaucracy is important. Especially for the people of England who are struggling to get back to a private system. Sadly, they can't because the bureaucracy that runs it is too big and too powerful. The 1.4 million bureaucrats and those that depend on them trump any effort to vote it out. Just imagine where we’ll be when the biggest bureaucracy in the world is making all of our health care decisions. It will be impossible to remove or change. English citizens are trapped because they fell for the promise of “free” health care. Many of them are now paying for this “free” health care with their lives.
Skeptical? Let’s take a closer look at the NHS. I want to show you what government run health care really looks like. Keep in mind that the UK is approximately the size of New York and California combined. Imagine the size, scope and disaster of a government run health care system here in America.
In conclusion, England's NHS is a disaster. Americans have to do everything we can to prevent a similar government run system from being implemented in this country. The simple truth is that America currently has the best health care in the world. 87%-90% of Americans are insured and 70% of Americans think that their health care is 'very good' to excellent'. People from all over the world come here for our health care because their own government run health care has failed them. Let's not make the same mistake that they have. Let's keep Government out of our health care.
